Three prominent automakers teamed up to jointly develop the Proton Emas Hybrid. Employees at Italdesign Giugiaro co-created the car with one of Malaysia's largest automakers, Proton, and outsourced the hybrid drivetrain to Lotus.

Proton really needs an interesting new hit to win back market share they have lost over the last few years. Perhaps that is why they selected the name "Emas," which translates from Malay into English as "gold."

Being one of the main attractions at this year's Frankfurt Show, we couldn't leave you without live photos as well as video footage of MINI's sporty Coupe and Roadster concept cars. The two models are destined to enter series-production and are expected to go on sale within the next couple of years. The Citroën 2CV of old has inspired this modern REVOLTe Concept car, released at Frankfurt earlier today. As such the REVOLTe is a combination of classic iconic Citroën styling and present-day sophistication and fashion.

It measures 3.68m long, 1.73m wide and 1.35m tall, underlying its purpose as an urban transporter with enough utility to use it as an everyday car. The styling is defined by the curving bonnet, the wide wheel arches and a smooth roofline.

International model Martina Ivezaj has been named Miss Tuning 2009 during a competition at Tuning World Bodensee. The announcement was made on Sunday, during the final day of the Friedrichshafen, Germany, event.

As the winner of the contest, Ivezaj will pose in a photo session for Seat Ibiza. The shoot will take place on the British Virgin Islands, and will eventually be turned into a new calendar to promote the Ibiza.

The contest began with 350 lovely contestants, which was whittled down to 20 finalists. Ivezaj takes the crown over from Daniela Grimm, last year's winner. Runners-up in the contest included models [...]
