Heffner Performance has released some new information about their latest tuner job.  The Heffner Audi R8 Twin-Turbo may look like it "came from the factory," but the details from the car's Dyno Sheet shows a clear upgrade.

According to the engineers, the tuned R8 has a 183 rear-wheel horsepower gain over the stock model.  The 536 rwhp rating is well over 50% higher than a factory-shipped R8.  The tuner firm claims that with 100 octane fuel, this car may be able to realize 600 rwhp, and a sub-11 second quarter-mile.

Never satisfied with the factory Jaguars, German tuner Arden has introduced its take on the revised 2010 Jaguar XKR Convertible. Arden starts by hiking the performance of the new 5.0-liter supercharged V8 that gains 30 horsepower and 50 Nm of torque for a total output of 540 horsepower and 675 Nm (498 lb-ft). A sport suspension with new shocks and the removal of the electronic speed limiter complete the changes under the skin.

Mansory's Linea Vincero Bugatti Veyron has been caught on video, thanks to our longtime friend Nick Hall.

The modified supercar features an enhanced cold air induction system and an optimized exhaust, which enables the Bugatti's massive 8.0-liter 16 cylinder engine to produce 1109 hp and 1310 Nm of torque (instead of the standard 1001 hp and 1250 Nm of torque).

Racing and tuning house Abt Sportline finally reveals expected upgrades to the Volkswagen Golf VI GTI. Previously Abt had released aero kit and modest performance upgrades for the Golf VI at Essen last year.

The standard GTI is known for producing 155kW (211hp) out of its 2.0-litre four-pot turbo engine. Power has been upped to 191kW (260hp) which is the same as the Mazda3 Speed/MPS. Lorinser is not a tuner that goes out of its way to create cars that scare other motorists off the freeway. Subtle but effective is how they do it over at Lorinser. Occasionally though, they present something like this which is called the Lorinser LV8. It's based on the Mercedes-Benz C 63 AMG and instead of pushing out 332kW (451hp) it delivers 368kW (500hp). Maximum torque is also increased to 630Nm. Subsequently the 0 - 100km/h dash can be achieved in 4.3 seconds while top speed goes up to 320km/h.

Chrome-painting was never our cup of tea but when it comes to style /fashion /design etc, everyone is entitled to their own opinion. This particular creation is the work of a Russian tuning firm called Dereiter Racing - and yes, we did notice the American flag waving outside the shop. Canadian tuner MWDesign has released a few more photos of its BMW M3 Coupe Darth Maul, but as much as we like the dark-theme project car, we must admit that in our book, Chantel Elloway scored more points in the "styling department" than the bimmer.

Even the most recent BMW M3 with its 420HP V8 engine can't escape from the tuning claws of G-Power. However, if you've been following the latest news from the German tuning firm, you will probably be surprised with the somewhat modest upgrades that G-Power has incorporated into the M3 Coupe Tornado. The most significant change concerns the addition of tailor-made 'light' supercharger from ASA with a moderate 0,3 bar boost. Along with a new intercooler and a performance exhaust system, the 4.0-liter V8's output increases from 420HP and 400Nm to 500HP and 480Nm (354-lbs/ft).

Sportec is headed for Geneva in a big way. The tuner will showcase the Sportec SPR1 M, a suspected hurricane of a car based on the Porsche "997" 911 Turbo model. Turning road cars into race cars and then back into road cars seems to be Reiter Engineering's new specialty. The factory-supported Lamborghini race team, which also recently built a street-legal variant of their Murcielago R-GT that competes in the FIA GT1 and European Le Mans Series, is now offering a road version of their Gallardo GT3 racecar. After seeing a rendering of the M3-based BT 92 from Brabham Racing, we were anxiously anticipating the car's debut at the Essen Motor Show this past week. PPI Automotive Design showed its Audi R8 Razor at the 2007 Essen Motor Show last year. This year, its back with a hotter, faster, and meaner version called the PPI Razor GTR. While the last model was pretty extreme, the Razor GTR takes extreme to a whole new level.
