It's 10pm on a Friday night and just as we're ready to call it a day/week, BMW sends us this glorious strip tease video for the hotly anticipated 1-Series M Coupe. As the first "unveiling" video in a series, the 1er M lifts it's black puritan covering to reveal a little leg.

Earlier this month BMW released a video of the 1-Series M Coupe driving around the Ascari race track in Spain, and a few weeks before that released this video.

The Cadillac CTS-V Coupe is ready to hit showrooms next month to take on two of its closes German rivals and one domestic rival. The folks at Motor Trend and Road&Track decided to run a test between all of the sports coupes for what turns out to be a very interesting rivalry. Among the CTS-V Coupe competitors in the test include the Audi RS5, BMW M3 and the Ford Shelby GT500.

As we approach closer to the launch date of the new BMW 6-Series, we're seeing less camouflage on the prototype models. Caught on film here in and around the Nurburgring circuit, are two test cars of the upcoming 6-Series Convertible.

The next 6er Convertible follows the recipe of today's model, with a cloth top and seating for 2+2. However, it gets sharper (and less controversial) looks with styling cues lifted directly from the recently revealed Concept Gran Coupe. We haven't had the chance yet to get a look of the interior yet, but expect to see a fresh styling with bits [...]

The BMW M3 GTS celebrates 25 years of the famous M3 models, and here it is in a few videos. The legendary M3 gets even hotter in this model with 4.4-litre V8 engine with 450 hp, lots of sports agression with a new rear wing, front splitter and 19-inch alloy wheels, not to mention the bright orange paint job.

The 25-year anniversary will also be celebrated in September with the launch of the new model year 2011 BMW M3. According to BMWBlog there are new features on the way including start&stop technology (which can be deactivated), ‘M Button’ suspension settings, [...]

We got our first official look at the all-new 2011 BMW X3 on Wednesday, but now we can also show it to you in motion as the Bavarian automaker has just released some B-roll footage of the compact crossover as well as a video with Anders Warming, head of exterior design, talking about the vehicle's styling.

The King is dead, long live the King. BMW dropped us a line to say that the V10-powered M5 supersedan is no more. Production has officially ended on the E60 version of one the world's best sports sedan after five years and 20,548 units. That's even greater than the production numbers of its predecessor, the V8-powered E39 models, even though those versions had an additional year of production.

Alsa Automotive Engineering, based in Abu Dhabi, have tuned the BMW X6 M to an impressive 724 PS (533 kW / 714 bhp). The company's CEO, Mohammed Al Sayegh, says the over-700 horsepower figure was obtained with no modification to the engine's displacement, unlike the 715 PS (526 kW /705 bhp) X6 M tuned by German outfit Nowack Motors.

"[Nowack Motors] have produced that by making the car a 4.8 liter instead of keeping it at its 4.4 liter engine capacity," Al Sayegh told WCF.

The tuning package, which includes upgraded turbo compressor wheels, is also available for the X5 M. [...]

One of the least reported on aspects of the auto industry is how automakers design the sound of their vehicles. And BMW has been one of the pioneers of this technology which it calls Active Sound Design.

Now, BMW engineers have developed an "engine note" for the MINI that can make its four-cylinder diesel sound like a petrol/gasoline-powered "muscle car" V8. In fact, four different engine notes have been created and are being tested in both a MINI and BMW 635d prototype.

G-Power isn't the only tuner around offering a widebody racing look for the BMW M3 Coupe. Illinois-based tuning house has jumped on the badwagon releasing details of its latest street-legal M3 project fitted with a new carbon fiber bodykit.

Evidently inspired by the Bavarian firm's M3 GT2 racer that recently won the 24h of Nurburgring and will compete (albeit in Art Car form) at the 24h of Le Mans, the conversion includes massively wide rear fenders, a unique front bumper with splitters, chunky side skirts, new rear bumper with air vents, vented hood and a jet plane-sized rear wing. GTHaus may be looking to steal a little of G-Power's thunder.

This isn't a G-Power M3 GT2 S but GTHaus's own M3 creation. The German tuner hasn't released any specs on the model so details are scarce.

Presented at BimmerFest 2010, the model features 20-inch rims (11x20/13x20), a Brembo big brake kit, a KW coilover suspension, a massive rear wing and a widebody kit. The widebody panels include a front bumper with splitter, flared fenders, side skirts with triple winglets and, of course, those rear wheel arches that require their own postal code. For obvious reasons, unlike New York, a parked BMW dressed in swirly camouflage doesn't cause a bomb scare in Munich. So, instead of notifying the authorities, this Youtube user took out his camera and shot a two-and-a-half minute long video that walks us around the new 2011 BMW X3 crossover.

The video after the jump gives us a pretty good look of the Bavarian automaker's new crossover that appears to be more stylish as well as a bit bigger than the current X3.

BMW is set to launch a new batch of FWD (front-wheel drive) hatchbacks in the next few years. Of those, one will be an entry-level BMW-badged vehicle, positioned beneath the 1-Series, scheduled to debut in 2013.

The new model is expected to compete against the likes of the Audi A2 and the Mercedes A-Class. It will have a body-style similar to those models - a high roof 5-door, 5-seat hatchback with a transversely mounted engine and gearbox to provide for a shorter bonnet and more cabin space. This video shows the victory of a BMW 328 Coupé at the 2010 Mille Miglia, 70 years after a 328 Coupé first won in the prestigious car event. The win in the 1939 model was achieved by Giuliano Cané and his wife Lucia Galliani, who have already won previous Mille Miglia events.

Among the favourites, the couple was followed by Luciano Viaro taking silver with Mark Gessler, driving an Alfa Romeo 6C 1500 Gran Sport. In third place was Enzo Ciravolo and Maria Leitner with another BMW 328, from 1937. See the arrival in the video above. [...]

BMW is almost ready to release the M3 GTS. Two examples were spotted at the Nurburgring ahead of the official media launch. The M3 GTS is the most track-focused M3 in the current line-up. It features a 4.4-litre V8 engine pushing out 450 PS (331 kW / 444 bhp), an increase of 30 PS (22 kW / 29.5 bhp). Driving the 19-inch rear wheels is a 7-speed M-DCT transmission.

More important is the weight of 1,490kg (3,285 lbs), 190kg (419 lbs) less than the standard M3 Coupe. A few weight-saving measures include the use of lightweight seats and a titanium silencer. [...]
