Chrysler launches new global corporate advertising campaign

 
A little more than a week after announcing its strategic global alliance with Italian automaker Fiat SpA and its intention to restructure its business, Chrysler LLC is launching a new corporate advertising campaign, which highlights the range of current and future vehicles in the Company’s portfolio and its rebirth as a global car company. The new ads will begin appearing on primetime television on Monday, May 11.

Chrysler bailout going to Terminator 4 sponsorship deal

Chrysler LLC has announced a sponsorship deal with the makers of Terminator: Salvation, but refused to disclose the cost of the deal.  In a move that is certain to upset many, the financially strapped company is ponying up what little cash they have to see their cars featured in short cameos during Terminator 4.

The American automaker recently received $4 billion in a taxpayer-funded government bailout.  Chrysler was reportedly on the verge of bankruptcy, and would not have been able to pay their suppliers without the loan.  Still in a dangerous position, the privately-owned company cut over a third of their employees.

Chrysler Wants Small Cars ASAP

 The Detroit 3 are hoping to change their reputation for chiefly supplying petrol-thirsty SUV’s, with a view to getting small and mid-sized vehicles onto the market as soon as possible and one of the most active among the trio is Chrysler. The carmaker’s co-president and former CEO, Tom LaSorda, has echoed this view, stating that Chrysler is engaged in building a new global mid-sized vehicle under its Project-D program.

Nissan and Chrysler Sign OEM Agreements

Today news comes from both Chrysler and Nissan that they have signed two new OEM (Original Equipment Manufacture) deals. Back in January Nissan and Chrysler already announced that the Japanese auto maker would provide Chrysler with a derivative of its Nissan Versa sedan for the South American market.

Chrysler will build a full-size pick-up truck for Nissan with a Nissan unique design at their Saltillo Assembly Plant in Mexico. The new pick-up will complement Nissan's Frontier mid-size pick-up truck, which Nissan also supplies to Suzuki as the Equator.
