Unlikely State Of Tune: Mugen takes on the Honda Stream

You wanted something sporty, but due to additions to the family, a minivan is as athletic as its going to get. But if that minivan is the 2010 Honda Stream, you can still satisfy your sporty urges thanks to Mugen. The practically in-house tuner has developed a full line of interior, exterior, aero, performance, handling and cosmetic parts for the people mover -- from typical Mugen mods like spoilers and wheels to a performance air filter and TypeT touring brake pads. If you add the sport suspension to your minivan, well, maybe you really do need to get a different [...]

New Honda Civic TYPE R Mugen UK-Spec Model Promotional Film

Following up on our previous story with the first photographs of the Mugen Honda Civic Type R hatchback, we now bring you an official promotional video of the special edition hatchback that's inspired from the JDM Civic Mugen RR sedan. In spite of the fact that in the two-and-half minute long film, Mugen describes the model as a 'UK Spec' edition, in the press release, Honda's dedicated tuning arm makes word of Euro-wide availability. Apparently, we'll have to wait for Mugen to clear things up.

We're still short on official info about the range of upgrades, but aside from the overly-aggressive [...]

Smoking Hot 701-WHP Turbocharged Honda S2000

Honda's S2000 may be reaching the end of its life this year, but we're pretty sure that the rev-happy roadster will continue to draw our attention in the future with proposals such as this modified version that cranks out a jaw-dropping 701 wheel-horsepower. Built by T1 Race Development, the S2000's stock 4-cylinder engine benefits from a Borg Warner S372R turbocharger, a T1 race manifold and 1,000 cc Bosch Injectors. As you can see, T1 also rerouted the exhaust pipes to the side of the S2000.

In this video that ends in with a humoristic notice from the behalf of its creators, [...]

Honda Insight Hybrid in Action

Honda has taken the covers off of its new Insight Hybrid Concept, a concept that is pretty much the production ready model that will arrive on U.S. roads in April 2009. At the 2008 Paris Motor Show, Honda’s CEO Takeo Fukui said that he is targeting a price of just below $19,000 for the Prius rival (Prius starts at $22,000).

He also said that the Honda Insight Hybrid “will mirror” the fuel-economy of the Civic Hybrid which gets 40/45 mpg. That’s surprising to us since early inside information suggested at a fuel-economy of close to 60 mpg and since the Toyota [...]

Honda OSM Concept Revealed in London

Honda has presented its OSM (Open Study Model) concept at the London show, returning to a theme dear to the English heart: a small spider, sporty and simple. Although Honda has avoided all associations, this concept is quite close to the CR-Z hybrid coupè, already in production.

Designed by Honda’s German branch, the OSM should show how attractive an environmentally friendly car can be, with low emissions while not giving up driving pleasure. This confirms that some of the CR-Z parentage has wriggled its way into the project, even if no technical data is available yet. Unfortunately no production has yet [...]

Honda Airs Live Ad for New Accord Euro

Honda is known for its ambitious advertising projects, such as the recent ‘Cog’ television promotion for its previous Accord Euro sedan, which featured a ‘Rube Goldberg’ machine - a complex device built using different parts from the actual Euro sedan that was used to do the simple task of releasing a lever to lower a completed car from a ramp. Now, the Japanese carmaker has sought to go to further extremes in its latest video promotion, labeled ‘Difficult is worth doing’, which you can view after the jump.

The latest ad depicts a team of skydivers forming the letters of ‘Honda’ [...]

2009 Honda Pilot In Depth

The Honda Pilot was shown to us at the 2008 North American International Auto Show as the Pilot Prototype, but not much has changed since then. The futuristic headlights have made way for affordable headlamps while the fog lamp housing has changed from round to square-ish. Also the rearlights have been adjusted with a more price-conscience version. The 2009 Honda Pilot has room for 8 people spread over 3 rows of seating. [...]

Honda reveals 2009 Accord Euro Tourer and Sedan

Honda has released details about its Accord Euro stablemate. As the images reveal the new Accord Euro’s styling is an evolution of the current model, although it’s significantly wider and slightly lower than its predecessor, and adopts a more chiseled appearance with muscular wheel arches to emphasize the car’s wider track.

Set to be unveiled at next month’s Geneva Motor Show, the all-new Accord Euro will arrive in both Tourer wagon and sedan bodystyles with three different engine options. Making its debut in the Accord Euro is Honda’s second-generation diesel engine dubbed i-DTEC. It employs latest piezoelectric multi-stage fuel injection technology, [...]

New Honda Accord Teaser Video

Today Honda released a little teaser video to accompany yesterday's initial detail shots of the new Honda Accord Tourer. Honda supplied us with a behind the scenes video of that very photo shoot.
It has only been a few months since Honda showed the world their latest take on the Accord Tourer, and response must have been overwhelming. Honda took it upon themselves to rush the Honda Accord Tourer Concept through its testing and development processes in order to be able to premiere it at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show. [...]
