Kia's K9 Supercar Class Sedan Teaser Sketch Revealed
Thanks to a WCF reader simply named SW, we now have a picture of what is probably Kia's entrée into the luxury sports sedan segment. Kia's chief designer Peter Schreyer reportedly unveiled this sketch of a car referred to as K9 at a design conference near Seoul last Friday.
Schreyer, best known for designing the original Audi TT when he was still at Audi, is said to have compared the car's design prowess to that of the Audi A8 and BMW 7 Series. Kia's plans do include a luxury sedan codenamed the CH, which is [...]

An image showing the concept version of Kia's upcoming VG luxury sedan has leaked to the web ahead of its unveiling at the Seoul Motor Show next month. Dubbed the KND-5, the concept hints at what we can expect from the company's new Amanti replacement which will officially debut later this year.

Riding on new front-wheel-drive platform which will [...]
Kia Soul reinterprets the Hampster Dance
The original Hampster Dance was born in 1998 and featured an endless loop of four hamsters dancing to the song "Whistle Stop" by Roger Miller. One of the first internet memes to really explode in popularity, the Hampster Dance and its simple animated GIFs look positively low tech by today's standards, but we remember the first time we saw it and were ROFL for hours.
Kia has come along and appropriated the domesticated rodents for a commercial promoting the new Soul. A compact, four-door, wagon-type vehicle in the vein of the Scion xB, the Soul fits four hamsters comfortably and they [...]
Two New Kia Soul Promotional Videos Released
Worldwide sales of the Kia Soul commence about a month from now. So now the marketing machine has begun rolling in order for Kia to promote its smallest SUV/crossover and hence the videos that you see in this space.
Nothing particularly spectacular is shown; mostly public road driving footage appears and close-up interior shots compliment that. A lot of the shots are taken in an urban/ city setting which is probably where the majority of Soul buyers will come from.
The Soul is a production version of the Soul Concept trio which was released at the 2008 Geneva [...]
Geneva Preview: Kia teases new MPV concept
When we arrive in Switzerland next month for the Geneva Motor Show, Kia will have a brand new concept to share with the world in the shape of an MPV concept. In this case, Kia claims the MPV stands for "Million Possibilities Vehicle". Based on what we can see in this teaser image, its flanks share some of the design elements of the 2007 Kue concept mixed in with wheel wells that look inspired by Ford's Kinetic design language. Kia's bare bones press release states that the concept has some kind of "unique [...]
Kia Borrego FCEV to Debut in Los Angeles
GM may have pulled out of the Los Angeles Auto Show, but the industry's woes won't rain on everybody's parade. Kia is rumored to have two showstoppers planned. First there's the Soul urban crossover, of course, with its new face for the Korean brand. We've also got hints of a second significant introduction from Kia, in the form of the Borrego Fuel Cell Electric Vehicle (FCEV).
This concept SUV is equipped with Kia's third-generation fuel-cell stack. It's rumored to feature significant advances for the technology, including sub-zero starting capability, improved fuel cell output and a new lithium-ion polymer battery with better [...]

First Pictures of Kia Sportage Facelifted
It hasn't been long since the Kia Sportage received a minor facelift which we first saw at the Frankfurt Motor Show last September. Clearly the Korean Manufacturer has not been happy with their initial effort, with these first pictures revealing the SUV will be the recipient of another facelift with a debut penned in for the London Motor Show this summer.
The enhancements of the 2009 model year Sportage can be described as subtle at best, we see from these initial photos the slightly redesigned bumper and a number of new color schemes will also be [...]
Kia KOUP Concept Pre-Show Teaser
Kia Motor is breaking down barriers again, setting the tone for possibly its next wave of design language. The concept KOUP they are officially revealing today looks like a hybrid of a union between a number of other designs, most notably Mitsubishi Lancer (the grille and rear lights) and BMW CS (headlights). Those mirrors should ideally be color-coded, but we don’t mind; it is still just a concept isn’t it. We assume, from the name that it’s a coupe, meaning two doors only and seating for four. If so it could be the [...]

Kia KND-4 Compact SUV Concept at LAIAS
First displayed in Seoul, Kia has wheeled out their KND-4 concept vehicle at the Los Angeles Auto Show. Although it is a mid-size SUV, it still looks a bit like it was inspired by the specially outfitted monster truck from Tango & Cash.
Don't believe me? Check out the last photo in the gallery.
Inside, the driver is fed information through Active Matrix, Organic Light Emitting Diode (AMOLED) screens, so that he can see the cluster and center fascia displays from any angle, whether he be hanging out the window shooting a gun, or taking a leisurely drive down Highway 1. This [...]
