Just because you have the cash to buy supercars, doesn't mean you can park on London's Brompton Road in front of luxury department store Harrod's. A member of the Al-Thani royal family from Qatar is allegedly the owner of the custom finished baby blue cars seen in this video: a Koenigsegg CCXR and a Lamborghini Murcielago LP670-4 SuperVeloce.

Both were booted by a parking warden for being illegally parked. It is not known what was the unclamping fee of each car.

The baby blue color has been attributed to Ana Al-Thani, an oil baron from the emirate. Al-Thani's collection [...]

An all Italian dream car challenge between the Ferrari 458 Italia and the Lamborghini Gallardo FP550-2 Valentino Balboni. The latest jewel from the Prancing Horse with its 4.5 V8 engine with 570 hp against the 5.2 V10 550V of the Charging Bull.

Performance wise the 458 Italia beats the the small super car from Sant’Agata Bolognese: top speed 325 km/h and from 0-100 in 3,4 seconds against 320 km/h and 3,9 seconds for the Gallardo.

nderground Racing has exceeded 250 mph (402 km/h) in a Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera outfitted with their 1500 WHP twin-turbo package.

The extraordinary event occurred at The Texas Mile, where Richard Holt piloted his Gallardo Superleggera to a top speed of 250.1 mph (403 km/h). Not too shabby, considering the stock Superleggera has a top speed of 202 mph (325 km/h).

Despite the eventual success, there were a number of setbacks. For the first two days, Underground Racing played with the suspension settings and turbochargers to no avail. When Sunday rolled around, the company finally got everything right. [...]

Friend and occasional WCF contributor Andrei Avarvarii has released a new video featuring his renderings for a potential electric-powered Lamborghini. The renderings were designed as part of Avarvarii's master's studies at the Scuola Politecnica di Design in Milan.

Working with Filippo Perini, Head of Lamborghini Design, Avarvarii worked under three different goals: to create a defining electric car, that features soft lines, and could be released by 2020. The result was the 500-horsepower (373-kW, 507-PS) Lamborghini Minotauro.

The Minotauro has two asynchronous 75-horsepower (56-kW, 76-PS) electric motors at the front that provide 30% of the car's power, and two 175-horsepower [...]

Exclusive Lamborghini race team and motorsports development company Reiter Engineering has taken their Lamborghini Gallardo Strada on a ski trip for a promotional video.

Following a little playing around at the base of the intermediate ski slope, the GT3 race class inspired Gallardo zooms up the hill at impressive speed thanks to special spiked winter tires and all-wheel drive.

The Gallardo Strada (road version) is based heavily on the standard car with its 5.0-litre naturally aspirated V10. But Reiter's conversion features carbon fibre bodywork that includes fenders widened by 60mm, new front fascia, side skirts and a large carbon fiber rear wing.

Lamborghini has released a new video to support their "Ad Personam" program. The plan, which translates from Latin as "To the person," offers customers the opportunity to select from a variety of exclusive options.

The options include an extensive variety of choice in exterior color, leather tone, and stitching hue. As the video points out, one thing that will not be changed is Sant'Agata, Bolognese, where each hand built Lamborghini is still assembled.

Custom wheel manufacturer iForge has put together this promo showcasing their, you guessed it, wheels dressed upon an LP640.  Normally we shy away from blatant promos and "wheels only" stories in favor of tuning packages that are a bit more comprehensive, however, we like the silly splitscreen and scissor door edits as well as the sampled air ratchet music.

You would assume that anybody with basic math skills could probably figure out what the chances are of owing one of the 20 (more or less) Lamborghini Reventon Roadster models that are destined for production. However, we must say that this promotional film, which was created by the German agency Philipp und Keuntje for the Frankfurt Motor Show, somewhat confused us.

Bypassing all the other stats mentioned in the ad, it is claimed that the chances of owning the €1,1 million Italian special is 1 in 700,000,000.

A nearly five-minute video featuring a new special edition Gallardo named for Valentino Balboni has just been released.  The very humble Balboni, a Lambo test driver for 40 years, nearly breaks down in tears towards the end of the video because of how touched he is by the gesture to name a car after him.

In his honor, the company will produce the Lamborghini Gallardo LP 550-2 Valentino Balboni special edition.  The car will be a bit distinct from other Gallardo models, with a racing stripe adorning the exterior, and unique interior features.

Of the 20 exclusive Lamborghini Reventons produced, there was no doubt that one had to make it into the hands of an uber-rich Saudi man (and we’re sure someone else owns it in Dubai, UAE as well).

As seven Reventon owners are trying to get rid of their expensive purchase, one Saudi owner is out taking his exclusive Lambo up to 222 mph.

Refresher: Power comes from a 6.5 liter V12 engine that produces 640 horsepower. 0-62 mph in 3.4 seconds.

Lamborghini has shelved plans for the Estoque, a four-door coupe concept the Italian luxury brand had unveiled at the Paris auto show last year.

"The timing and market conditions are just not right for an additional model line," Maurizio Reggiani, head of research and development at Lamborghini, told Autocar. The Estoque was still in the early stages of development, with limited resources having been put into it, which made it easier for Lamborghini to shelve the project.
