Lexus has prepared a track-tuned version of its IS F performance sedan which has been revealed at the recent Tokyo Auto Salon.

Lexus LFA Officially Unveiled in Tokyo

Following years of speculation, some extensive spy material and several leaks, Lexus has finally unveiled its very first supercar. A prototype of the two-seat LFA is now on display at the 2009 Tokyo Motor Show.

Official details reveal some stunning figures which give meat to recent videos. The sound heard on that video is partly because of equal-length exhaust manifolds mated to an equal-length dual exhaust system and routed through a multistage titanium main muffler. The LFA is indeed powered by a naturally aspirated V10 displacing 4.8 litre (4,805cc). Thanks to its aluminum alloy, magnesium alloy and titanium alloy construction it [...]

Lexus LF-A Testimonial at Press Event - Have another listen to the roar

Shortly after a stint on a track behind the wheel, Dutch motoring journalist and race-driving instructor Thomas Bangma has described the upcoming Lexus LF-A as "the best car I've ever driven". Mijnheer Bangma is a highly respected car scribe so there's very little reason to doubt his sincerity. The man has driven basically all modern cars considered supercar royalty. And he says none match up to the LF-A. Some endorsement.

During the clip he mentions how true collectors who know their cars and have machinery like Pagani Zondas, McLaren F1s and Porsche RSs in their garages would do themselves major justice [...]

Lexus LF-A Rumored to be Priced Over $200K

It may not be the most anticipated sports car of the decade, not in an M3 or Camaro type way. Yet the Lexus LF-A is one of the most important, possibly the most important in the history of Toyota. This because Lexus is the biggest luxury car maker in the biggest car market in the world, the US. And LF-A – both coupe and drop-top versions – would be its first real sports car, the type going after the old boys’ club of Lamborghini Gallardo, BMW M6, Chevy Corvette, Porsche 911 Turbo and Ferrari F430.

Probably for this reason is pricing [...]

Entry level sportiness is a new option for Lexus buyers in the United Kingdom this summer with Lexus' new special edition Lexus IS 250 SR.
