Lotus Exige Cup 260 Gets Lighter for 2009
Lotus has announced the latest round of updates and upgrades to its homologated Exige Cup 260. For 2009, the race-bred two-seater keeps its 257 horsepower engine, but weight-saving measures have knocked 38kg off of the curb weight. Given Lotus’ lighter-is-better philosophy, it’s no surprise that it focused on dropping mass to increase performance. It’s also no surprise that they were able to find ways to do it in the already ultra-light Exige.

Lotus Eagle Spy Video
The Lotus Eagle has been in development for what seems like an eternity and the testing prototypes keep popping up in different locations around Europe, including France and Northern Scandinavia. However the latest shots are the most interesting as they were taken at Nurburgring proving the engineers are now fine tuning the performance aspects of the new Lotus flagship vehicle and now for the first time we get to see the testing on video.

40th Anniversary Lotus Elise S Announced
Lotus celebrates 40 years of production in the Hethel UK factory this year. Commemorating the occasion is the announcement of a special limited edition 40th Anniversary Elise S which is available now as a 2008 model. Purely as a trim package, only 50 units will be built with a specific allotment to certain European countries. Ironically, the 40th Anniversary Elise S will not be available in the UK. Lotus Hot Wheels Concept: First Pictures
A few weeks back Hot wheels celebrated their 40th anniversary at the SEMA show in Sin City with a range of new scaled concept cars from several manufacturers. Lotus was asked as one of those manufacturers and they have finally come through with some high resolution images of their amazing 1:5 scaled concept. In the spring of 2008 a 1:64 model will be featured in the Hot Wheels line-up for all Lotus fans to own.
