2010 Mazda3 MPS in Depth

Mazda has released new details about their redesigned Mazda3 MPS (Mazda Performance Series) / Mazdaspeed3.

Based on the new Mazda3 hatchback, the MPS boasts sporty styling which helps it stand out from lesser models. Key design features include a hood-mounted intercooler scoop, unique front and rear bumpers, aggressive side skirts, and 18-inch aluminum wheels outfitted with Dunlop tires. Among the other design touches are bi-xenon headlamps, a metallic black rear valance, LED taillights, and a massive roof-mounted rear spoiler.

Power comes from Mazda's MZR 2.3-liter DISI turbocharged engine with 191 kW (260 PS) and 380 Nm of torque. 0-100 km/h comes in 6.1 [...]

2010 Mazda3 Sedan First Video

The all-new Mazda3 Sedan revealed its 'smiley' face to the public for the first time today at the opening of the 2008 LA Auto Show. The current '3' is Mazda's best-selling vehicle worldwide with around 1.8 million global sales since its launch in 2003 and the Japanese firm hopes that the second generation model will do even better. Aside from the new sheetmetal and the overhauled interior the 2010 Mazda3 also sports a new 2.5-liter engine and new transmissions.

Mazda SUV Concept Going to Moscow Auto Show

Mazda has released images of an all-new compact SUV/Crossover concept that will make its debut at the forthcoming Moscow International Automobile Salon that runs from August 29 through September 7. The yet unnamed concept SUV could lead to a production version that would fit right under the CX-7 Crossover.


The Moscow show car, which follows in the footsteps of the Nagare, Ryuga, Hakaze, Taiki and Furai concept cars, is the latest concept to be developed using Mazda’s new design language called Nagare which means “flow” in Japanese. [...]

All New Mazda Biante Announced for Japan

Today Mazda announced in a short press release that their new Mazda Biante, a eight-seat minivan, will go on sale in Japan during this summer. The name Biante is inspired by the English word 'ambient' and the car aims to create a unified interior space that makes the in-car experience enjoyable and comfortable for all its occupants.

Mazda 3 MPS Rally Car Revealed (AU)

Mazda's rally history may not be as rich as some other Japanese marques, but Mazda Australia is more than willing to set the record straight. For their eighth Targa Tasmania excursion, held from April 15-20, Mazda will use a brand new Mazda3 MPS rally car.
Mazda Motorsport chief Allan Horsley heads the team consisting of Rick Bates and Alister McRae and their co-drivers who will compete in the 2WD Showroom competition. Mazda2 Wins World Car of the Year Award

The superb Mazda2, aka Demio in Japan, is now parked on the World Car of the Year throne for 2008. New king of the world Mazda2 won its crown over other top-three finalists Ford Mondeo and Mercedes-Benz C-Class. So dominant was the Mazda2 this time that it also came in for a podium finish when results were released for the top three design awards where it was in the company of the Audi R8 and Volvo C30. In total there were 39 initial contenders on the list.

Mazda RX-8 Facelift In Detail

The facelifted Mazda RX-8 was revealed at the Tokyo Auto Salon back in early January before it showed its bonnet at the Detroit Auto Show. Back then Mazda refrained from releasing official specifications, which we can now bring to your attention. The freshened RX-8 has gone on sale in Japan today.

Mazda MPV Facelift Revealed (JA)

The Mazda MPV was only launched in 2006 and already the facelift has been released and gone on sale in Japan. The exterior and interior has been restyled while the ride quality and comfort levels have been improved.
On the outside we now find new chrome body parts, remodeled upper and lower grille and bumper, restyled rearlights and new 18 inch alloy wheels. Inside Mazda has fitted newly designed decorative trim and chrome parts and an industry first 'nanoe ion' air purification system has been installed.

Revealed: 2009 Mazda RX-8 facelift

Mazda officials have no plans to replace the RX-8 sports car anytime soon, instead choosing to release a facelifted version as seen here in completely undisguised form. More of an update rather than a major overhaul, changes to the car will consist of a new set of bumpers, revised taillights and possibly a new suspension set-up.

"Zoom-Zoom" philosophy goes on race track with Mazda's new concept car. It is back to the future as Mazda wants to give a reminder of its overall win at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1991. Some official photos have leaked just two weeks before Detroit Motor Show 2008, where the Furai Concept is making first public appearance. The name Furai (pronounced foo-rye) means "sound of wind".

Mazda MX-5 Niseko Special Edition Released

Mazda's MX-5 is already one of the top selling sports cars in the U.K.  To celebrate, Mazda has introduced two special edition Mazda MX-5 Niseko models.  Named after a ski resort in Japan, the MX-5 Niseko is meant to point out the cute roadster's all-weather abilities.

2008 Mazda5 Facelift set for Bologna Debut

Set to debut at the Bologna Motor Show on Wednesday – Mazda has released the first pictures and details for the facelifted Mazda5.
On the exterior the Mazda has made minor modifications to the front dampers and have introduced optional power sliding doors for the pleasure of mother and baby (or for those who are just plain lazy). The suspension has been refined for enhanced stability round corners at high speeds topped off with a newly optimised brake booster for optimal braking response.

Mazda 2 Sedan World Debut at Guangzhou Motor Show

China is probably the market with the most growth potential and Mazda knows it. In order to complete their B-segment line-up Mazda is introducing the Mazda2 sedan in order to 'capture' new customers. The Mazda 2 sedan will be built locally by Changan Ford Mazda Automobile and will reach Chinese dealerships in the first half of 2008.
