Nissan GTR vs Porsche 911: Daddy's little rich kids
It’s a corny video so it might not have quite the intended impact on Porsche 911 fans, but here’s a mini film in which we see the Nissan GTR pick off the 911 in a race, the winner of which gets the inheritance. It looks like a fun drive around the estate and this time round, you could do worse than be the butler.

Audi R8 V10 vs Nissan GTR
This video of the Audi R8 V10 vs the Nissan GTR is more than just a drag race between two supercars by a couple of guys who wanted to play. It shows that the hype of bigger and larger engines doesn’t necessarily pay off in terms of performance. And that sometimes, the Japanese will build a better car, for half the price. Still, with the Audi a very sexy car, and if you had the pay packet to match, we figure you’d probably be choosing this one.

Nissan's Land Glider Concept in Motorcycle-Like Leaning Action
By far one of the quirkiest concept cars set to make their public debut at this month's 2009 Tokyo Motor Show, is Nissan's Land Glider concept. Part motorcycle, part car, all squeezed together in a package no wider than 1.1 meters or 43.3-in., the Land Glider can seat two passengers in tandem. It is powered by two electric motors at the rear but the most prominent feature of the pint-size concept is the computer controlled steering system that leans the car into the turns. You can see it in action in the video after the jump. [...]
Nissan's All-Electric 2011 LEAF Compact Hatch in Action
This past weekend, Nissan swiped the covers off the LEAF, a production-ready, fully electric model that is plans to sell in Japan, the United States and Europe before the end of 2010. The compact-sized five-door hatchback is powered by a 107 horsepower electric motor that draws energy from a set of lithium-ion batteries similar to the ones found on your everyday cell-phones, laptops and other electric appliances. You can watch the LEAF in action right after the jump.

2010 Nissan GT-R's 7:26.70 Record Lap Time at the Nurburgring
We always enjoy watching cars lapping the Nurburgring's famous Nordschleife circuit but it's even better when you get the chance to see a supercar like the Nissan GT-R. This video, which was shot with an inboard camera, is from the 2010 GT-R's latest record breaking lap time of 7min 26.70 seconds that was achieved on April 23, 2009. The driver behind the steering wheel is Nissan's Chief test driver, Toshio Suzuki.
The Nissan GT-R's previous recorded lap times at the 'Ring' were:
7 minutes 27 seconds 56 on April [...]
Fast & Furious Skyline stolen from Hollywood garage
It took two years to build it in reality, ten seconds of montage to put it together on screen, and about ten minutes to steal it. In a rare automotive example of life imitating art imitating life, the Nissan Skyline that Paul Walker drove in the latest Fast & Furious movie was stolen from its storage facility in Los Angeles.
Although dressed up to look like a full-on R34 GT-R for the movie, the car underneath was actually a lower-spec GT-S. Reports indicate that thieves, evidently knowing the car was inside, broke through a [...]
Rumour: Dacia SUV to Resemble Nissan Qashqai
The Renault/ Nissan alliance has benefited both companies quite well since it was formed. More mutual benefits are set to take place in the coming years after a rumour surfaced that Dacia will model its first ever SUV after the highly successful Nissan Qashqai. Dacia is owned by Renault.
According to Masini.ro the Dacia brand will exploit its relationship with Nissan by using some of the components and dimensions found in the Qashqai for the production version of its Duster concept.
The Duster concept was unveiled at the 2009 Geneva International Motor Show. It is [...]
Nissan GT-R R35 Crashes after being Smoked by a Lancer EVO IX
In what could very well be the first-ever Nissan GT-R R35 crash documented on tape, a 'poor' GT-R owner loses control of his car after racing against a Mitsubishi Lancer EVO IX MR on a twisty mountain road at night. As you can see in the video after the jump, the GT-R pilot didn't seem to be much of a match for the EVO driver -even though for apparent reasons, it's an easier task to keep up with a car in front than to be leading the chase/race. Follow the jump to watch the video.

Nissan Suspends 'GT 2012' Business Plan, Announces Layoffs after Forecasting $2.9bn Loss
Driven by the severe downturn in the global economy and after the firm's CEO Carlos Ghosn reversed his forecast for the 2008 fiscal year that ends on March 31, 2009, from a net profit of $1.76 bn to a loss of $2.89 bn (265 billion yen), Nissan has put on hold its "GT 2012" mid-term business plan and announced a series of emergency measures. For instance, the company plans to reduce its global workforce by 20,000 employees to 215,000 by March 2010 and cut salaries paid to board members and corporate officers by 10% and those paid to [...]
Nissan GT-R Tackling Snow-Covered Nurburgring
Who said that you can't have a bit of fun at the famous Nurburgring race track in Germany even when it's fully covered with snow? Sporting a set of Bridgestone Blizzak snow tires and a crafty driver behind the steering wheel, the all-wheel drive Nissan GT-R proves that it can be equally amusing -though understandably, less capable- on the snow as it is on dry tarmac. Hit the jump to enjoy the video.

2010 Nissan GT-R SpecV Promo Film
Aiming at those that aren't satisfied with the recently facelifted GT-R, Nissan released a new limited-edition SpecV version of its sports coupe. In a nutshell, the GT-R SpecV is 60 kg (132 lbs) lighter than the standard car while a special boost control function, increases the twin-turbocharged 3.8-liter V6 engine's 434lb ft of torque by an extra 15lb ft from 3500-5000rpm. The GT-R SpecV also gets carbon-ceramic brakes and more hardcore suspension settings. In the first official video, we get a taste of the more extreme version of the GT-R at the Nurburgring race-track.

Nissan GT-R SpecV Revealed
Nissan has officially revealed the highly anticipated limited-production GT-R SpecV that will go on sale next month at several Nissan retailers in Japan for 15,750,000 yen (equivalent to $171,797.33 USD and €126,512.34).
Built as a street legal racer, the SpecV takes the already supercar performance of the standard GT-R to the next level thanks to several enhancements by Nissan engineers. The biggest change is the addition of a new high gear boost control device that allows for a momentarily increase in boost, resulting in greater torque during intermediate-to-high speed driving. This creates a car that is both faster and more fuel-efficient [...]
NISMO Prepped Nissan 370Z Photo Hits the Web
Nissan might have been successful in keeping the all-new 2009 370Z under cover until the release of the first official photos earlier this week, but its in-house performance division NISMO (abbreviated from Nissan Motorsport) didn't manage to do the same. From our experience, this leaked photo of a NISMO accessorized 370Z (called Fairlady Z in Japan) looks like it's the real deal. The sports coupe pictured here features a full bodykit that includes a rear wing, side sills, a rear diffuser housing a new set of tailpipes and larger alloy wheels. Understandably, we're not [...]
Nissan 370Z First Drive with Interior Shots
Following on the heels of Motortrend magazine, Edmunds' Insideline has also released a video of its first encounter with the all-new 2009 Nissan 370Z after the Japanese firm invited a group of journalists to test drive a pre-production prototype model. If we'd like to make a short list of the most important changes on the 370Z these would include: the shorter wheelbase, the Infiniti-derived 3.7-liter V6 engine, the less fussy design and the better quality materials in the interior. Hit the jump to watch the video.
