Pontiac Solstice-Based Lamborghini Murcielago LP-640 Replica

A while ago we showed you a Lamborghini Murcielago Roadster replica based on a Pontiac Solstice that was up for grabs on eBay. With the exception of the rear wing and the fact that in this case, the Solstice donor car is equipped with a manual gearbox, this faux Murcielago LP-640 Roadster that's up for sale on eBay with a starting price of (ahem) $63,244 is identical to the previous replica. Then why bother with it, you may ask? Well, simply because this eBay seller chose to show off the car with a video starring 'Zak'. Hit the jump and [...]

2010 Pontiac G6 Convertible Facelift Caught Completely Undisguised

Pictures of the G6 Sedan have been floating around for a while, but so far its open top sibling has evaded the photos. That is of course until today with the fresh shots of the Pontiac G6 Convertible which fails to sport any camoflage on its updated bodywork.
Some minor modifications have already been announced for the 2009 model year, but that did not include the exterior modifications seen on this prototype confirming the model we see before us is for 2010 model year. The freshening includes a new front fascia and air-intakes, the rear also gets [...]

2006 SEMA Show Pontiac Solstice for Sale

However, if you’re the kind of person that likes tale-telling, then this Solstice might temporarily score you a few points with your friends. According to the seller, the Soltice features a custom made one-off body kit, 20-inch TSW alloy wheels wrapped in 235/30/20 Pirelli tires, a custom yellow paint job, an AEM cold air intake, a Magnaflow performance exhaust and KW sport springs. On show at this week’s New York Auto Show is a brand new coupe version of the Pontiac Solstice that will go on sale early next year in both standard and performance GXP trims. Pontiac G8 Sport Truck Unleashed

The legendary Chevrolet El Camino truck is carved into US car history in its very own, unique and special way. Its beginnings can be traced back to 1959 when the first generation, based on the Chevrolet Brookwood, was conceived to compete with the Ford Ranchero. Sales were not as expected, and in 1960 the El Camino was discontinued.

1964 saw the return of the El Camino, this time based on the Chevrolet Chevelle. Two more generations followed which were based on the Chevelle until 1978 when GM revealed the smaller, fourth generation El Camino based on the Chevrolet Malibu. In 1987 [...]

2009 Pontiac G8 GXP to use 6.2L Corvette Engine

Fear of new CAFE fuel economy standards have lead many to believe that modern day muscle cars will soon face the same fate as their forerunners, but new reports indicate GM has other plans. A leak by a Pontiac dealership employee has lead to speculation that the 2009 Pontiac G8 GXP will be powered by GM’s LS3 6.2L V8 which is also used in the Corvette. The engine produces 430 horsepower and 424 lb.-ft. of torque, but expect it to be detuned for use in the G8.

Based on the rear wheel drive Australian Holden Commodore, the Pontiac G8 is offered [...]
