Renault Latitude video
This video of the Renault Latitude gives us the full going-over of the new, and very large, flagship sedan for the company that was presented at the Moscow International Motor Show. The Latitude is planned to be sold in 50 markets, standing with Russia and other ‘emerging’ markets. It measures 4.88 x 1.83 x 1.48 metres and is available initially with two petrol engines: a four-cylinder, 2.0-litre with 139 hp and 191 Nm of torque, and the more powerful 2.5-litre V6 with 177 hp and 233 Nm.
Those engines, while limited, are impressive but won’t be available on the European-spec [...]
Ford Focus RS500 vs Renault Clio RS Cup
It might seem a bit tough to challenge the Renault Clio RS Cup with the Ford Focus RS500 given the difference in performance specs of these two cars. The Clio has a 2.0-litre 16V engine with 203 hp and 215 Nm of torque, while the Focus’ 2.5 Turbo has 350 hp and 460 Nm of torque. Top speeds are also different with 265 km/hr against the 224 of the Clio, and the Focus RS500 is faster in the sprint to 100 km/hr at 5.6 seconds (compared to the Clio RS Cup’s 6.9 seconds).
You might be wondering at this stage what [...]
Renault DeZir Concept revealed
Renault has released details on its upcoming concept vehicle called DeZir.
The DeZir (which sounds like 'desire' as it is pronounced in French) is meant to convey the new design language of the brand, according to Renault. The Z also stands for zero emissions as the concept is a two-seat coupe with gullwing doors which, like many recent concept cars, is an all-electric vehicle.
The car is powered by an 110 kW (150 PS) and 226 Nm (167 lb-ft) of torque producing mid-mounted electric motor fed by a vertically-placed 24 kWh lithium-ion battery behind the bench seat. The car is said to [...]
New Renault Megane Coupe-Cabriolet Teased
Renault today revealed the first teaser photograph of its new Megane Coupe-Cabriolet model that will break cover at the Geneva Motor Show on March 2, 2010 The only piece of information released by the French automaker is that the new Megane CC will keep its predecessor's foldaway glass top.
The shady picture doesn't tell us much about the four-seater convertible's looks but expect to see similar styling cues to the rest of the new Megane's range.
here won't be any surprises under the hood as the engine lineup will be carried over from the hatchback and coupe [...]
Renault Confirms Production of All-Electric Twizy and Zoe Z.E., Sales Start in 2011
Apparently, Nissan's partner Renault wasn't kidding when it said that it would go ahead and produce the four all-electric concept models that it displayed at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September. Today, the French automaker not only (re)confirmed production of the futuristic looking Twizy Z.E. city car (for Zero Emission) and the funky Zoe Z.E. sporty supermini, but it also revealed the plants where the two cars will be built.
First up is the Twizy Z.E. based 1+1 seater that will be manufactured at Renault's Valladolid factory in Spain from 2011. Even though we find it hard to believe, it is [...]
New Renault Megane RS video
Here’s an on-board, high speed video of the new Renault Megane RS, with some track action from the hot hatch as well. While the music gets in the way a little, we can hear the fantastic engine noise of the Megane RS and the revs certainly sound sweet.
The Megane RS is equipped with a 2.0-litre turbo engine with 250 hp and 340 Nm, reaching 100 km/hr in six seconds.

Renault Twingo Trophy with Mid-Mounted Range-Rover V8
While not as insanely extreme as the Citroen 2CV - Ferrari F355 hybrid that we showed you back in May, this special creation from French custom car and motorcycle builder Lazareth is one helluva creation. Evidently inspired by the competition Renault Megane Trophy and the Clio V6 Renault Sport, the Twingo Trophy is one of those cars that you'd be tempted to take for a spin even though it doesn't make much sense.
The French tuner took a base first-generation Twingo mini and turned it into a track-racer by throwing out the puny, front-mounted stock engine and installing a Range-Rover-sourced 3.5-liter [...]

Video: New Renault Clio GT
This is not the most exciting video we’ve ever seen; in fact you’re more than halfway through before they actually take this new Renault Clio for a spin. But if you wanted a better look at the little car than yesterday’s Clio spy shots, here’s your chance. Though we feel a greater focus on the zippy nature of the vehicle would have been a better option…

2009 Renault Sport Mégane Rendered
Now that we’ve seen the look of 2009 Mégane coupe, it may be useful to speculate as to what the Renaultsport 2009 Mégane will look like. It is after all, the flagship of the range and carries with it the hopes and dreams of Renault fans all over, looking to show it up to sales leaders like Golf GTI and Focus ST. Obviously based on the normal version, the RS gets rugged kit to separate it from your average mama’s car. It will use spoilers to good effect, like the deep front one for agro looks and the one central [...]

Renault Laguna Sedan Spied
While so far Renault’s mid-class range has consisted of a fastback Laguna and an estate as well as the brand-new coupé, the currently built 3rd generation – officially revealed in June 2007 – will apparently be completed by an all-new variant: a three-box sedan. We spied the car undergoing break-tests in Switzerland this weekend.
Apart from the three-box layout of the car, another revealing detail is the shape and the placement of the taillights, both of which will be completely different to those of the fastback. Technically the new Laguna sedan will be identical to its [...]
2009 Renault Megane Coupe: Official Images of Three-Door Version
Even though what you’re seeing in these pictures is most likely a clay model, this is how the production version of the three-door Megane will look like when it goes on sale in early 2009. The photos that come to us from a patent application made within the EU reveal that the 3door variant of Renault’s subcompact hatch draws its inspiration –though heavily toned down- from the Megane Coupe Concept that appeared at the Geneva motorshow earlier this year. Compared to the 5door model, the Megane Coupe features a substantially sleeker profile thanks to the lower roofline, the triangular-shaped rear [...]
