Rolls Royce Cars news and reviews

Borat-class "Rolls-Royce" actually looks good

Right, so this isn't really a Rolls-Royce. We know, we know, you thought it was. And that's understandable. But no, it's a fake, a phony, a fraud, etc. And with the owner spending at least, say, $3,000 to turn an old Mercedes-Benz E-Class into a Roller, we understand why you were duped. We aren't surprised, however, that this car exists in a former Soviet Bloc country (supposedly Kazakhstan).

All joking/sardonic comments aside, we always wonder why people bother with stunts like this. The other day we saw a BMW E39 525i with a M5 badge. Now, the only people that will [...]

Rolls-Royce to unveil Ghost at the Frankfurt motor show

Autumn 2006, Paris motor show: Rolls-Royce Motor Cars announced that work had begun on a new model series. The new car would be in production and on sale by the turn of the decade. The only other facts confirmed at that stage were that it would be smaller than the Phantom saloon and priced somewhere between €200,000 and €300,000 before tax. Speculation about its style and specification began almost immediately… Little was seen of the new car, codenamed RR4, until the spring of 2008, when Rolls-Royce released the first official sketches. The styling was instantly recognisable as a Rolls-Royce, although [...]

Officially Official: Rolls-Royce 200EX

Following today's embargo debacle, Rolls-Royce has finally released the official details and images of its baby Roller, the 200EX. The name draws its inspiration from the "experimental" prototypes that Rolls created during the pre-war era, but this version is more modern and has its sights set on the Bentley Continental Flying Spur.

While Rolls-Royce has deemed the Geneva-bound 200EX a concept, expect almost every exterior and interior detail to carry over to the production model when it arrives in 2010. However, the alphanumeric moniker will be replaced with something more traditional (think some variation of the words Spirit, Shadow or Cloud).

The [...]

Slight Facelift for The Rolls-Royce Phantom

Rolls-Royce Motor Cars is pleased to announce details of a product update to the 2009 model year Phantom and Phantom Extended Wheelbase. Harmonising the front appearance of the car with that of the Phantom Drophead Coupé and Phantom Coupé, a new streamlined front bumper has been designed and integrated with a shallower grille, finished in stainless steel.

Other new exterior features include LED door handle illumination and the fitting of [...]

Baby Rolls Royce PR4 Spied in Dubai

We might call it the 'baby Rolls Royce', but truth is that there's nothing small about the British marque's forthcoming luxury sedan codenamed PR4 that was spied here on the streets of Dubai. Rolls Royce officially revealed its plans to introduce a new entry-level model in its range back in May when it released the first set of teaser sketches of the PR4. Though smaller than the Phantom, the new Roller will be slightly larger than the BMW 7 Series with which it shares the same platform and other components.

Despite the fact that it is closely related to BMW's flagship [...]
