SEAT has announced it will be introducing the new León CUPRA R at the Frankfurt motor show next month and the model will be the most powerful León available Europe-wide.

The León CUPRA R will come with VW Group's 2.0 liter TSI engine juiced up to a comfy 265 hp. That number is achieved partly through the use of a new high-pressure fuel injector and SEAT promises the model will still meeting EU5 emission norms. SEAT UK has announced its latest cinema advertising campaign which takes a tongue-in-cheek approach to the irresistible appeal of the new Seat Ibiza SC. With the tagline ‘There can be only one driver’, the clip shows SEAT's top male motorsport stars sprinting for the keys to the new car. They’re filmed scrambling for the driver’s door, only to be beaten to it by a glamorous woman who takes off in the car and leaves the race aces face down in the dirt. As the mystery woman pulls away victorious, she flips the bird out the window to the defeated fellows.

The new(ish) Seat Exeo sedan was unveiled in the presence of the world's media for the first time last week at the Paris Motor Show. It is based on the previous generation Audi A4 platform which began life back in 2001, meaning this is little more than a re-badged model. However we shouldn't forget the 2001 Audi A4 played a strong role in bringing the premium brand to where it is today and it would be premature to say the same platform couldn't help Seat make similar strides in the industry.

Seat has yesterday revealed the third model in their ECOMOTIVE range, the Seat Alhambra MPV. The Spanish people mover is powered by a 140 hp 2.0 TDI engine with Diesel Particular Filter (DPF) and emits just 159 g/km of CO2, compared to the 175 g/km CO2 emissions of the regular 2.0 TDI Alhambra.
Seat has made a few changes in order for the Alhambra to achieve these figures, firstly the DPF and the electronic management but also a new six-speed transmission and low-friction 196/60 tires on 16 inch steel rims.

Since April 10, the all new SEAT Ibiza has been paraded around the UK in a custom made Perspex case on the back of a flatbed transporter. Starting in York, the Ibiza has traveled through major cities in the Midlands and South West to London and, finally, the South Coast making stops along the way at key venues such as the HiQ MSA British Touring Car Championship at Rockingham race circuit in support of SEAT's Sport UK team’s with two diesel-powered Leons as well as SEAT dealerships.
