Kia KND-4 Compact SUV Concept at LAIAS
First displayed in Seoul, Kia has wheeled out their KND-4 concept vehicle at the Los Angeles Auto Show. Although it is a mid-size SUV, it still looks a bit like it was inspired by the specially outfitted monster truck from Tango & Cash.
Don't believe me? Check out the last photo in the gallery.
Inside, the driver is fed information through Active Matrix, Organic Light Emitting Diode (AMOLED) screens, so that he can see the cluster and center fascia displays from any angle, whether he be hanging out the window shooting a gun, or taking a leisurely drive down Highway 1. This SUV also has a Blu-ray DVD player, a built-in hard disc drive for storing music, and Bluetooth. Four passengers are greeted with individual seats, mood lighting, and metallic trim. The roomy cargo hold also plays house to a removable trunk, that stores anything you might need to take out some bad guys, including an emergency kit.
Riding on 20-inch wheels, the KND-4 is powered by a Variable Geometry 2.2 liter, turbocharged diesel engine. This concept also comes with Kia's Active Torque Transfer, capable of diverting power from one wheel to the other three in slippery conditions.
We're not sure that's enough power to beat Jack Palance, but add some armor plating and we're sold!
