Kia Soul Hamster This and That Commercial

Here’s Kia’s Soul commercial that was honored by the Nielsen Automotive Advertising Awards and was named “Automotive Ad of the Year,” but this isn’t the only award that the Kia Soul has won.

Soul had received several awards such as one of the “Best Family Cars for 2010? by Edmunds.com and Parents Magazine, the “Best Hatchback of 2010? by Cars.com, one of the “2010 Top Cars for Families” by Motherproof.com, and just recently, one of the 2010 “Top 10 Coolest New Cars Under $18,000? from Kelley Blue Book’s kbb.com.

The commercial depicts city and suburban streets inhabited by hamsters who show off how cool the Kia Soul is. Introduced a year ago, the Korean crossover became immediately popular with its four trims: Soul, Soul+, Soul! (Exclaim) and Soul Sport. There are also special editions, which include the Ghost Soul Ignition Soul, Denim Soul, and Shadow Dragon Soul.

The Kia Soul is offered in a 1.6-liter engine with 122 horsepower available with five-speed M/T (only) and 2.0-liter engine with 142 horsepower that features M/T or four-speed A/T.

The ad campaign will include five more Kia Soul hamster spot variations, each playing a different genre of music.
