Renntech SL65 Black Series further details

Renntech has released new information about their Performance Package 1 for the Mercedes SL65 AMG Black Series.

Under the hood, the company installs a revised ECU, a 'Dual Intercooler Pump Upgrade' and a sport exhaust system. These modifications enable the bi-turbo 6.0-liter V12 to produce 600 kW (805 bhp / 816 PS) and 1,356 Nm (1,000 lb-ft) of torque, instead of the standard 493 kW (661 bhp / 670 PS) and 1,000 Nm (738 lb-ft) of torque.

To keep everything under control, Renntech offers a Transmission Upgrade and a 100% Locking Rear Differential. The latter is based on OS Giken's Super-Lock Limited Slip Differential (LSD) and "functions as a traditional open differential in low and normal-load situations, transforming smoothly and gradually up to 100% full lock as loads rise."

Priced from $16,390 (€12,650), the Performance Package 1 was installed into the pearl white SL65 AMG Black Series provided by Renntech's fellow Floridian neighbor and exotic, sports, and luxury car dealer Domani Motors.
