The sleek A7 Sportback, which fills whatever gap there is left between the A6 sedan and Avant and the flagship A8 saloon, is designed to take on the likes of the second generation Mercedes-Benz CLS and the BMW 5-Series GT. It will arrive in European showrooms this fall with two diesel and two gasoline V6 engines [...]

Audi has officially unveiled the new A7 Sportback in Munich.

The 5-door, fastback coupe is Audi's own unique foray into the sport coupe segment with rear passenger doors. Audi describes the car as a combination of elegant coupe, sport sedan and practical wagon.

The A7 will feature a lightweight body made with aluminum components and high-tech steels, which will allow for it to be powered solely by a set of V6 engines - at least at first [...]

The new Audi A7 Sportback will be revealed on July 26th and will enter the competitive market of the new Mercedes CLS. The two cars should be followed by the other big player in the German trio with the BMW Gran Coupe shaping up for the segment, too.

The A7 Sportback wil be the production version of the Sportback Concept which was presented at the Detroit show, and should also reveal some of the new stuff we’ll be seeing on the Audi A6 to be revealed at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show.

This video shows how the Audi A1 gets built at the Bruxelles production plant. The new Audi city car, created as a rival to Mini, looks like it’s going to be a success from day one and it will be interesting to see how its fortunes pan out over the next year.

The company has certainly put the effort in, at least on the marketing front with the Justin Timberlake movies, which have put some funk into the German brand [...]

Here’s the second episode of “The next big thing” featuring Justin Timberlake and the Audi A1. This time we get more driving footage of the Audi A1 and a confusing attempt at creating a kind of action spy movie where Timberlake finds himself inadvertently saving Damia Ramirez.

We can only assume that a third episode will appear and initial production and sales figures would indicate that the expensive marketing campaign is worth it [...]

As you've probably already heard, Audi has once again teamed up with the creators of the original blockbuster Iron Man marketing its R8 Spyder in the sequel as the personal car of billionaire inventor Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.).

Audi has released a new promo video for the awe-inspiring RS5.

Boasting a 4.2-liter V8 with 331 kW (444 hp / 450 PS) and 430 Nm (317 lb-ft) of torque, the RS5 rockets from 0-100 km/h in 4.6 seconds and tops out at an electronically limited 250 km/h (155 mph). If that isn't fast enough, Audi can remove the speed limiter to enable the car to hit 280 km/h (174 mph) [...]

Here’s the first Audi RS5 promo video, appearing alongside an original Audi Quattro model which celebrated its 30th birthday at the 2010 Geneva motor show.

The video gives us an inside and outside look at the RS5 and we get to hear plenty of the 4.2-litre V8 with its 450 hp. No news is available about whether there will be a manual gearbox option in addition to the dual-clutch S-Tronic currently available [...]

The first Audi A1 on-road video shows the new compact driven by Markus Winkelhock (official Audi DTM driver), in a more modest standard version than those we’ve seen so far, although we do get a look at the famous “wasabi green” interior inserts and trim. With commentary from Horst Glaser of Audi’s chassis department, this is the first real sense I’ve got that the A1 could be a serious contender to the Mini, without the retro style, of course.

The A1 debut at the 2010 Geneva motor show was almost overshadowed by the A1 E-Tron prototype; the third in the E-Tron family, none of them are headed for production in the near future, although the second compact E-Tron is said to be the future Audi R4 [...]
