First Shots of the Mitsubishi Lancer Sportback
From Mitsubishi’s press release, the new Lancer Sportback, with a decisive take on hatchbacks, will be presented at the Paris show on October 2 and will reflect the lines of the Lancer Prototype S seen at Geneva.
The car is a five-door job with a sloping roof that will be offered in various versions, including the sports model Ralliart, one step below the Evo in terms of pure performance.
Two petrol engines will be available for the European market, a 1.5 109 hp and a 1.8 143 hp, together with a 2.0 turbo-diesel at 140 hp. The Lancer Sportback Ralliart will have a 2.0 turbo engines at 240 hp and 343 Nm, combined with the Twin Clutch SST transmission and ACD active differential. [...]
New Audi S3 Sportback Revealed
Along with the release of Audi's facelifted A3 comes the range-topping S3 Sportback, joining its 3-door S3 sibling at the top of the current A3 food chain. The S3 Sportback uses the same re-engineered, direct-injection turbo 2.0 TFSI engine as the S3 producing 265 hp (195 kW) with 350 Nm of torque.
The added bodywork slows the S3 Sportback slighty by 0.1 seconds on its 0-100 km/h time to 5.8 seconds (3-door S3 takes 5.7 seconds) but the 250 km/h top speed is the same for the 3-door and sportback versions [...]
